We have opportunities to serve our neighbors, right here in Lincoln County!

  • FOOD & FRIENDSHIP

    Our weekly Lake Forest Shares Team delivers fresh produce + groceries to families in Lincoln County. For Love People Weekend, we’ll be delivering Thanksgiving meals to 29 families + individuals.


    DAY/TIME: Sunday, November 23rd 9am-12pm

    AGE REQUIREMENT: None

    ABILITY REQUIREMENT: Able to lift up to 20lbs; valid drivers license required for volunteers delivering meal kits

  • LOCAL SCHOOL SUPPORT

    We partner with Pumpkin Center & St. James Elementary through Kids Hope USA (mentoring students). For Love People Weekend, we’ll participate in multiple ‘school beautification’ projects like mural painting, grounds clean up, and more.


    DAY/TIME: Saturday, November 22nd 8am-12pm

    AGE REQUIREMENT: 14 y/o +

    ABILITY REQUIREMENT: Able to stand for extend period of time

  • LOCAL SCHOOL SUPPORT

    We partner with Pumpkin Center & St. James Elementary through Kids Hope USA (mentoring students). For Love People Weekend, we’ll participate in multiple ‘school beautification’ projects like grounds clean up, light landscaping, and construction on the outdoor classroom footbridge.


    *Please note that you can register for one of two shifts with this project. The morning team (AM) will be doing landscaping and the construction project, and the afternoon team (PM) will be doing the construction project only.


    DAY/TIME: Sunday, November 23rd 8am-12pm & 12pm-4pm

    AGE REQUIREMENT: 10 y/o + for AM team; 14 y/o + for PM team

    ABILITY REQUIREMENT: Able to stand for extended period of time; able to lift up to 20lbs; able to bend over and kneel

  • DAY OF REST AND RENEWAL FOR SURVIVORS

    We’ll be serving the women of Amy’s House by providing a fun activity, complete with sweet treats and community with other women.

  • PLAYGROUND CONSTRUCTION

    We’ll be prepping the grounds for a new playground for the unhoused residents of Hesed House in Lincolnton.

REGIONAL PROJECTS

Love people near to us.

From Charlotte to Asheville, we have friends in organizations and churches beyond our backyard. This November, we get to support them through hands-on service projects.

  • SUPPORTING UNHOUSED NEIGHBORS

    During the winter months, we host unhoused neighbors from Charlotte through Room In the Inn (Roof Above). For Love People Weekend, we’ll partner with Roof Above in serving a meal and hosting an ice cream social at the Day Service Center.

  • WORSHIP, COMMUNITY, AND CULTIVATING

    Kinship Plot is a supportive community event designed to cultivate belonging, connection, and care among participants through shared experiences and intentional relationship-building. For Love People Weekend, we will worship and potluck with congregants at The Grove Church, then work in the food forest with Kinship Plot in Charlotte, NC.


    DAY/TIME: Sunday, November 23rd 9am-3pm

  • HURRICANE RELIEF

    Since Hurricane Helene devastated the Western North Carolina region last fall, we have partnered with local EPC churches and other relief nonprofits to support relief efforts. For Love People Weekend, we will take a team up to Avery County to further assist with those efforts with Habitat for Humanity.

Serve people internationally without ever leaving Denver!

  • MEAL PACKING

    We’ll gather in our church to pack 150,000+ meals that will be sent to families in villages that lack access to food. Meals will be sent to the Caribbean, Central America, or South America.


    DAYS/TIMES:

    • Saturday, November 22nd 5pm and 6:15pm
    • Sunday, November 23rd 8am, 9:15am, 10:30am, 11:45am, 1pm

    AGE REQUIREMENT: 4 y/o + *childcare will be available only for families serving in one of the listed meal packing sessions

    ABILITY REQUIREMENT: Able to stand for extended period of time

    VOLUNTEER CAPACITY: 160 spots per session


  • MEAL PACKING SUPPORT ROLES

    We’ll gather in our church to pack 150,000+ meals that will be sent to families in villages that lack access to food. Meals will be sent to the Caribbean, Central America, or South America.


    Meal Packing Support Roles include: table champions (raw materials refill and ‘hype-person’ for tables), registration, trash/recycling runner, box runner/palletizer

    • Sunday, November 23rd 7:30am-2:30pm

    AGE REQUIREMENT: 16 y/o +

    ABILITY REQUIREMENT: Able to stand for extended period of time; able to lift up to 45lbs

    VOLUNTEER CAPACITY: 25 for each day
