Community Night is a weekly space for people of all ages and stages to step into group life at Lake Forest! People of all ages can gather to grow in faith and build meaningful relationships.

Groups are gatherings of approximately 8-20 people who meet regularly to explore faith, celebrate the successes and good times of life, as well as comfort one another during the tough and disappointing times. Groups are made up of people from all spiritual backgrounds – skeptics, spiritual explorers and longtime followers of Christ. No one is expected to have all of the answers to Biblical questions or have life figured out.

Parents, drop off your 4th and 5th graders for a night of fun, yummy s’mores, playing games and making new friends. This is also a great opportunity to invite friends to join!

Partner with Kairos Prison Ministry International in their mission to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men!

Trip Description:

• Must be a man over the age of 18
• Kairos brings together inmates for a 4 day trip called The Weekend
• The Weekend is based on a series of talks, discussions, chapel meditations, and prayer. ​
• The concept is to build the Christian community inside the institution where the inmates pray and fellowship together weekly. ​​

Dates: September 24-27th in Kershaw, SC or November 5-8th in Morganton, NC

Required training: Attend three 4-hour training sessions

Cost: $125 which will contribute to pay for food for volunteers and participants.

Lodging: Men can either stay in a hotel or they can sleep at a nearby church for free.

Youth Fall Retreat is the perfect chance to get away and connect with God and others. We’re returning to Camp Cherokee from October 16-18th. We’re staying in cabins, participating in whole group teaching, worship, small groups, and once again playing our Fall Retreat CLASH (think camp Olympics).

Cell phones will be collected at check-in and given back to campers 15-20 minutes before bedtime to check in with their parents. Cellphones will be recollected before bedtime, so there are no cellphones overnight. We want to make this a technology free time as we’ve seen friendships and new connections soar during this weekend!

The cost is $175 per person—transportation is included in this fee.

Men face a lot of stress and uncertainty in our world today. Navigating career, family and finances, relationships and time management, can often feel overwhelming. To say nothing of their own health and faith. The pressure to do it all, and do it well, often leaves us feeling stuck or even paralyzed.

That’s why we are gathering on Tuesday, October 20th to explore the idea of courage— not some Hollywood version, but a biblical one— one that is rooted in wisdom, trust, and the resources of the Holy Spirit.

We’ll gather from 6:30 pm to 8 pm to share some good food (provided by Little Mountain Burgers), some friendly competition (the “world’s longest putt”), chill time with other guys around tables, a presentation from Pastor Aron on biblical courage, and discussion with one another about practical steps we can take together to renew our courage in the areas of life that matter most.

If you're hoping to move beyond passivity in your life, needing some encouragement as a man, or simply looking for a chance to meet some other guys, this event is for you!

Cost: $10

For all ages (13 and up), childcare is not provided.

ILooking for an opportunity to give back this Christmas?

Once again, Lake Forest will be sending Christmas gifts to our missionary partners school (UCI) in Haiti just in time for Christmas! We hope to provide Christmas for 200 children this year.

Pick up your bag, along with a shopping list and photo of the child you're shopping for, at church on Sunday, November 1.

We'll have a collection box in the lobby every Sunday until November 15 for bags that are ready to ship!

Explore following Jesus into the waters of baptism through Baptism 101!

At Lake Forest, we celebrate baptism as a part of worship once a month. Before getting baptized, you must attend a Baptism 101 class. You may also want to consider attending our Lake Forest 101 class to learn more about our faith and Lake Forest Church, although Lake Forest 101 is not required. You do not have to be a Ministry Partner/Member to be baptized at Lake Forest Church. Read more about what we believe about baptism here.

Discover your role in God’s story and define your next step through Lake Forest 101!

During each of the four phases of this class, led by our pastors and completed in one weekend, you will learn more about Lake Forest, identify where you are spiritually, and make new friends who are all seeking to take their next step in this journey that we call faith.

As you discover your role in God’s story, you’ll build relationships, find places to share your gifts and, upon completion of all four phases, you will have the opportunity to become an LFC Ministry Partner.
