We call our Kids Ministry ‘Kidventure’ because our faith is an adventure! We strive to create a happy place for both you and your kid. When kids come to Kidventure, they are cared for by nurturing, trained leaders in spaces where they can find a connection to God and friends that’s fun, safe, and engaging.
We want to partner with parents in the spiritual development of their kids – loving each child as they discover and live out their role in God’s story.

When faith takes root, it becomes a lifelong foundation in Jesus.

When kids feel safe and have fun, faith begins to grow. (Phil 4:13)

When kids feel they belong, they learn to love, serve, and follow Jesus together.

When we partner with families, faith thrives beyond Sunday and into everyday life.

It’s important you know your kids are in good hands, so you can participate in worship worry-free. Every person who works with kids at Lake Forest is required to pass a background check and receive proper training.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the service starts. We’ll check your child in using our computer kiosks and introduce you to the guides your child will be with during service. You’ll receive identification tags that match your child’s, which include: notes on any allergies or special needs your child may have, a code for paging you during service (when necessary), and to ensure only you can pick up your kid after service.
For the safety and wellness of everyone in Kidventure, we ask that you do not place your child in our program while they are experiencing the following conditions: recent cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness.

Each Sunday Morning, Kidventure holds programming for all kids (babies – 5th grade), where they can attend Kidventure at 8:30 , 9:50, or 11:10 am! Our time together consists of a Bible story, games and interaction, crafts, a memory verse, and more!
Your kids will always be welcomed by dedicated, friendly folks who do everything possible to help bring smiles (we’ve also been known to make bribes using Goldfish crackers), and who are background checked for their safety. Our leaders are called Guides as they help guide kids on their faith journey!
Club 54 meets every Sunday and offers a discussion-based curriculum that is tailored to 4th-5th graders in their unique season of life.
Additionally, Club 54 holds events throughout the year and a Foundations class for 5th graders that helps them explore their faith in Jesus.
During the year, we host a collection of events for kids and families! Each Easter, we host ‘The Hunt,’ and each summer, we host a week-long summer day camp called ‘Adventure Camp.’
We’ve created the Next Gen Trail Guide, a six-step journey, to assist families in raising kids who have a faith in God that they will take with them into adulthood. Along the trail are Mile Markers—or special events—where parents and kids learn together and commemorate these key moments. We will also provide resources for the seasons between Mile Markers to inform you of the faith skills that your kids are learning in Kidventure and Youth and equip you with tools for home.
Lake Forest Youth exists to make disciples of youth (grades 6 – 12) who love Jesus, love others as they love themselves, and serve the world through weekly worship, small groups, bible study, camps, and more!
The best way to stay up to date with what’s happening in Kidventure is by subscribing to our parent email! You can also follow us on instagram and refer to the calendar on our website for upcoming events.
And of course, if you have any questions, you can contact our staff team at the bottom of the page.

You can join our team of Kidventure Guides and provide a nurturing environment for kids (infants – 5th grade) to learn about and experience God. There are also opportunities to greet and check-in families, provide technical support, and partner with parents on the spiritual growth of their children.
If you have a heart for leading children and are eager to share God’s love, we hope you will consider a role in Kidventure.
Our Kidventure staff is always available to help you and your family with any questions you might have about our church, your kid’s spiritual journey, or what it’s like to serve in Kidventure.
